The pediatric psychologist’s primary clinical responsibilities will be as part of the Yale Limb Restoration and Lengthening Program as well as the Female+ Athlete Program in the field of sports medicine. The successful candidate will be fully embedded in the Section of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. Cultivation of specialized interests are available and welcomed. Program development and clinical care opportunities exist in our oncology clinics, sickle cell disease clinics, and within our palliative care program. For this role, the pediatric psychologist will offer outpatient consultation and treatment to patients and families affected by conditions related to cancer and blood disorders. ![]() The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Hematology and Oncology team. Clinical research opportunities available based on applicant interest. ![]() Clinical care will involve a combination of in person visits and telehealth options to reach families across the state of Connecticut. Opportunities for cultivation of specialized interests are available and welcomed. In addition, the pediatric psychologist will offer outpatient consultation and treatment to patients and families seen through our General GI clinics as well as our Motility clinics. The successful candidate will provide intervention as part of the interdisciplinary Gastroenterology team. Successful candidates will be appointed as Assistant Professor of Child Clinical Psychology on the Academic Clinician tenure track at the Yale School of Medicine. Both recordings are now available to review, and a third session will be offered the Fall of 2022.The Yale Child Study Center (YCSC) invites applicants for four full-time pediatric psychologist positions one for the Section of Hematology and Oncology, one for the Section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, another for the Section of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, and one position in Primary Care at the New Haven Primary Care Consortium. The second session, A better start: Building a brighter future for perinatal mental health at the Child Study Center was held on Monday, Apwith faculty members Amanda Lowell, PhD Kieran O’Donnell, PhD and Helena Rutherford, PhD. The first was held on Februas a virtual “fireside chat” on Babies and Autism: Advances in Research and Clinical Care” with YCSC faculty members Kasia Chawarska, PhD Suzanne Macari, PhD and Kelly Powell, PhD. In 2022, a new series of webinars for YCSC Associates was launched. The Council meets twice per year, serving as a forum for practical information on YCSC advancements, on which Council members provide input and share with others in their role as advocates and advisors. Executive Council members provide advice to the chair on strategy and program development, enhance the Center’s visibility in the scientific, non-profit, and philanthropic communities and build wider networks of support and intellectual capital for the Center. The YCSC Executive Council, a subset of the larger group of Associates, serves as a volunteer leadership group for the Center, bringing together a group of informed, influential, and philanthropic individuals with a deep personal commitment to advancing the YCSC strategic vision. Since then, a virtual poster session, supplemental videos, and recordings of the live sessions have been made available on-line. These sessions, historically provided in-person, shifted to a virtual format in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Each year in the fall, the Annual Associates Meeting brings together this group to meet and engage in presentations focused on the multi-faceted mission of the YCSC. ![]() The Associates consist of individuals and foundation trustees who share in the concerns of the Center and form a social and intellectual network to advise and support YCSC work and events. For over 40 years, the Yale Child Study Center Associates have provided ideas, perspectives, vision, and resources to YCSC leadership. ![]()
